Wow, is all you can say when you get into these machines. Yes, this is not just a car, this is a real MACHINE!
What an awesome shape - I love it and still stand in awe every time I approach it.
The large 20 inch cyclone rims and very low profile wheels - fits it like glove.
The original model with aggressive grill with large intake ducts - makes the front view an all-time favorite.
The rear is also real eye-candy with large twin oval pipes and receded high speed spoiler - which automatically raise when you reach 100 km/h.
In summary "Wheels as large as 20 inches squat in the wheel wells, a trick automatic spoiler rises from the rear deck, and huge air intakes up front suck in vast tracts of atmosphere while fat, R8-style exhaust pipes shoot the air back out again, burned up and spent."
"High-revving in this case means up to an 8300-rpm redline, so long as the oil is up to temperature". says Car-and-driver.com
Have you heard this high revving 4.2 Liter naturally aspirated V8 from low bass growl to a whining scream when reach the 8000 rpm rev range? That is pure music to the ears.
With ceramic ABS disk brakes to stop this speed monster when you have to reign it back to a standstill.
All this power transferred to quattro drive wheels with a seven speed S-tronic dual clutch gearbox!. "...power is shunted only through a seven-speed dual-clutch automated manual... the dual-clutch unitAudi calls it S tronicallows the driver to include transmission setup as part of the configurability offered by the optional Audi Drive Select (ADS) adjustable chassis system... shifts occur without any hesitation, and the quickness produces some sweet burbles and overrun from those twin exhaust cannons out back." says Car-and-driver.com
"The all-wheel-drive system is upgraded with Audis first use of a self-locking crown-gear center differential, and it helps cut nearly seven pounds out of the drivetrain. The new center diff will make its way into other Quattro models as well, and it can direct up to 85 percent of the power to the rear wheels or up to 70 percent to the fronts as grip dictates. Under normal driving, the power distribution is split 40 percent to the front and 60 percent to the rear.
It is an absolute exiting pleasure to drive and look at this machine - every time!
